Collection: Layers of Memory
Designer Gabrielle Fenech opened the evening with Layers of Memory, an autumn/winter collection inspired by the symbolism of the pomegranate. Through layered textures, bold silhouettes and poetic storytelling, the collection explored cycles of life, rebirth, and consequence, rooted in Maltese ritual and myth. Skin, seed, rot: each element reflected heritage, loss, and renewal in equal measure.
Collection: On The Board
Next, Isaac Fenech presented On The Board, a refined collection of silk bias-cut and corseted taffeta eveningwear. Taking inspiration from chess, Isaac’s designs reflected themes of choice, consequence, and control. Each look embodied the quiet tension between endless possibility and real-world limitation, expressed through sculptural tailoring and a sleek monochrome palette.
Collection: Beneath the Waves – SS25
Bringing the evening to a close were Charles & Ron with Beneath the Waves Spring/Summer 2025, a collection inspired by the Mediterranean’s vibrant marine life, particularly around Gozo. Featuring graphic prints created from underwater photography by Eva Bast, the collection brought the rich colours and textures of Malta’s hidden underwater world to life on the runway, blending culture, craftsmanship, and effortless summer elegance.
Following the final runway show, the audience was treated to a special live performance by Maltese singer Miriana Conte, who performed her song Serving Kant. Her powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence added a vibrant and celebratory mood to the evening, marking a fitting finale for Malta Fashion Week’s runway programme.
The night concluded with an official Campari-sponsored after party, where designers, models, and guests came together to celebrate the creativity and success of the week.
