Joie de Vivre: A Silk Sensation

Silk painter, Rosita presented her collection Joie de Vivre at MFWA16 this week. Hailing from Lithuania, Rosita is now living in Malta and using her creativity to express her inspirations through hand painted silk and satin scarves and apparel.

Inspired by the Mediterranean weather and brightly colored wild flowers, Rosita recreates these blessings of nature though her painting and apparel. Using these inspirations, Rosita produces “wearable art” for all to enjoy.

Romantic reds and pinks – teals, limes, and sapphires, – teal, brown, and gold – blue, pink, and magenta – sunset oranges and white with navy – bright colors with touches of earth tones covered Rosita’s sensational garments. Many of them had been painted using floral as the subject.

Models danced along the runway, comfortably gliding in Rosita’s silk and satin pieces, displaying the many ways that each piece could be worn. The gentlemen on the runway assisted the models in untying their tops as the audience watched the live demonstration, anticipating what the garment would turn into once untied. The silk garments transformed in the softest of ways, sliding across the skin like butter. The flexibility to wear these scarves in so many ways and on so many different places of your body is what makes this brand quite unique from the rest.

With mild prices and a wide variety of styles and color combinations, this brand proves itself rather marketable. Whether its a cover up for the beach, a silky robe to wear around the house, or a chic dress to wear out for a seaside wine and dine, you can find it here in Rosita’s unique collection.

“Rosita’s debut at Malta Fashion Week 2016 was indeed a joy to behold because the models that walked down the stairs and made their way onto the catwalk seemed to perform rather than merely model the flowing garments, further enhancing the joie de vivre elements for which the collection is named.” –Style in Transit

“The best thing about Rosita’s garments? They feature natural pigments and textures such as salt, wax and sugar and each piece is a one-off with patterns never to be repeated!” –Every Beauty Addict’s Bible
